Rumpleteazer's kittens
All the jellicles gathered in the junkyard 4 months after the jellicle
ball. Munknstrap had planned a special party for Old D. All the
jellicles had a special part to play and they all knew when and what to do!
After half an hour all the jellicles ran and hid in their hiding places
as the twins sensed Old D was coming.
No one greeted old D as he entered the junkyard, which was very
unusual. He went to sit on the old tyre where he always sat and after a while
he heard a high pitched giggle come from the old car. He awaited the
duo to make their grand entrance, he heard a "shhhh" and that was it.
Another giggle was heard but not from Rumpleteazer, it came from the old
clock. Then he heard someone gag the giggling cat or kitten.
Just as he was about to leave a huge lightning bolt flashed and in
front of him was every jellicle. The kittens were laughing and so was Old
D him self! Every one went quite when Munkustrap stepped up onto the
tyre with his father.
"Happy birthday dad" Munkustrap said.
As he said it, Misto let off lots of lightning bolts to celebrate. All
the jellicles put on a show of past jellicle balls, Growltigers last
stand and the awful battle of the pekes and the pollicles. But just as
Rumpas cat was supposed to jump out something happened and Macavity
jumped out!
Demeter screamed and ran behind Alonzo.
Macavity walked up to Munkustrap and started to circle him. "Well" he
hissed "my own brother not inviting me to my own fathers birthday party"
he looked around at every jellicle, but his eyes fell on his former
agent, Mungojerrie, who hissed at him. Then Macvity's eyes fell on
Mungojerries mate, Rumpleteazer, Macavity thought for a moment how beautiful
teazer was, but pushed it to the back of his mind.
"You weren't invited because" Munkustrap brought him out of his
thoughts with this.
"You are an out cast! You did it to your self, you chose a life of
crime not the jellicle life, now go!"
Macavity did as he was told, which made the jellicles uncomfortable.
As he was walking away in to the shadows, he said to his awaiting
Henchmen
"I have them right where I want them!"
2 months on and every one was still talking about the party. All the
jellicles were back in the junkyard for the next big thing, their mating
season.
Macavity had not forgotten the jellicle ball 6 months earlier, when the
jellicles had ruined hi 'prank' of taking Old D, and how his former
agent and brother had fought him,
Mungojerrie didn't put up much of a fight but Munkustrap did.
He couldn't figure out a way to get Munkustrap back…yet.
BUT he knew everything about Mungo. What he had is store was purrfect!
Back at the junkyard, Cassandra was grooming herself near the old
cooker when a cat grabbed her waist. She jumped in shock, but soon for gave
the cat, only because it was her mate Alonzo, had it been any other
cat, she would have killed them for scaring her! Bombalurina walked up to
them in a seductive manor. Alonzo's jaw dropped open but Cassandra put
it back where it should be.
"Hi you 2" Bombalurina said
"Hi" they said in time.
"Have you seen tugger?" bomb asked hopefully. "No I've only just got
here." Alonzo replied "I haven't seen him all day!" Cassandra said and
bit Alonzo's ear playfully. Bomb took this as a major hint
"OK thanks anyway, I'll ask Electra" with this she walked off in her
seductive manor that all the toms loved!
At the other side of the junkyard Electra was curled up in a ball fast
asleep. Some one was prodded her in the side and she jumped as she woke
up to see Tumblebrutus standing above her. She had always liked Tumble
but never had the nerve to tell him. Seeing his face in front of his
made her smile uncontrollably. Tumble noticed this but didn't say
anything about it.
"Erm, well" Tumble started "this isn't easy for me to say it so I'm
just gonna try" "OK" Electra said uneasily "I like you Electra, I
always
have" Electra blushed red, before Tumble could say any more, she hugged
him and breathed him in deeply. He took the hint and asked her
"Will you be my mate?"
"I thought you'd never ask!" she said nuzzling him passionately.
When every one was starting to settle down with their mates and the
moon was shining bright. Mungojerrie walked in with Rumpleteazer. The
older cats always knew they would be mates and this proved it.
Poncival went looking for Bombalurina. When he saw her with the Rum
Tum Tugger, his heart sank, as did Etcetera's
"He told me I was his favourite!" Pounce nuzzled her and without words
the 2 walked off paw-in-paw together into the shadows.
Misto was asleep with jemima next to him, when he jerked up suddenly
and looked over at the twins who had their noses in the air "Misto,
what's wrong?" she asked sleepily "Macavity's near" he replied. Demeter was
near and heard this "Macavity…near…here?!?!" she managed to get out.
The twins went to her, Tantomile said "I'm afraid so Demeter" by this
time Demeter was already behind Munkustrap.
As if on cue Macavity strutted into the centre of the junkyard. "I
do
have the right to a mate, cats, and I can chose any one cat I want!"
all the queens looked worried. Mungo pushed teazer into the shadows. This
was a bad idea, Macavity knew Rumpleteazer was Mungojerrie's weak spot.
With Teazer now in the shadows Macavity's Hench men grabbed her and
gagged her before she could scream for anyone or just scream!
Rumpleteazer awoke in a strange place but she knew where she was, she
was at Macavity's lair. Macavity spoke
"You know you look beautiful right now, don't you?" she looked stunned
about the comment and managed to choke out a thank you. It was only
then Macavity looked at Rumpleteazer in the eye, Teazer looked away.
"Your different Rumpleteazer," he said, "I've always been kinda jealous
of Mungojerrie having a beautiful queen like you on his arm." He was
circling her now which scared her a bit. "The reason I brought you here
is, its you I picked to be my mate!" Teazer was speechless, she love
Mungo not Macavity. How could she tell him?
"TEAZER!!!" Mungo shouted as he sat in the middle of the junkyard,
crying and shouting for Teazer. He knew Macavity had her, but what could he
do?
"Hey Mungo, kid" Mungo looked up to see Plato in front of him "'ey"
Mungo said in between sniffles "listen, we could get Teazer back but its
gonna be at least 3 days" Plato just looked at his friend "we 'ave to
try" said Mungo "OK, come on every ones waiting!" Plato ran off but Mungo
soon caught up.
Teaser had nothing to do but wait. Macavity walked in, "are you ready"
he asked
"For wot?" teazer asked puzzled "well if we're gonna be mates, we have
to get to know each other!" teazer took a deep breath and said, "I
don't want to be your mate. I love Mungojerrie not you!" Macavity didn't
accept it "you will be my mate!" he screamed. He tried to mate with her
but she made for the window and jumped. She ran as soon as she hit the
ground. She ran all the way to the junkyard and didn't look back.
"You will be mine!" Macavity shouted to her!
Teazer collapsed right in the middle of the junkyard. Mungo looked to
see what had just made a funny noise, he saw his mate out cold on the
floor. He ran over to her and the jellicles followed.
"I she all right?" asked Victoria holding on to Plato's paw.
"I hope
so," he said back to her.
Jelly walked over to her with a bowl of water. Teazer jumped as the
water was poured over her head. "You OK?" Mungo asked as soon as she
looked at him.
"Just a lil' tired" she managed to get out, "wot 'appened?" he asked.
Teazer couldn't help it she started to cry. "Its OK, Tez, I'm 'ere for
you!" Mungo told her "OK, well it's like this?
She told them everything.
"OK cats nothing to see here. Move in other words! Give 'em room to
breathe!" skimbleshanks shouted. The jellicles did as they were told.
"Mungo" Teazer sniffled "I'm goin' 'ome, you comin' or wot?" She
started to
walk off with Mungo not far behind.
Quite a few months had passed. Mungo had noticed how fat Teazer was
getting, but didn't say any thing to any one.
At the junkyard all the queens and older toms knew was pregnant.
Teazer went up to Jelly, who had been like her mum since the incident with
Macavity, "Jelly, why am I getting' so fat, so fast?" Jelly giggled at
this.
"Rumpleteazer, darling, you're carrying your first litter!" Teazer's
face lit up at this and she ran off to find Mungojerrie.
When she found him and told him, he hugged her tight "I'm gonna be a
dad!" he whispered in her ear!
Even more time passed which seemed like a lifetime for Mungo and
Teazer. Teazer was with the kittens and Demeter.
Mungo was with Alonzo, Misto and Tumblebrutus. All of a sudden a loud
scream was heard all over the junkyard. "Teazer!" Mungo ran over to her
just in time to see the first kitten being born!
After an hour all the jellicles gathered round the new parents. They
were both proud.
"Oh look" jenny said "those 2 are just like you" "that one looks
more
like Mungo but ha Teazer's eyes" Munkustrap said. Demeter noticed the
4th kitten "it looks just like Macavity!!!" she screamed
