The Old Gumbie Cat, sleeps and lounges all day long. Her original costume seems heavy and has leopard spots on it, but she soon takes it off, a yellow, light costume appears. The 2 costumes are in the song of "The Old Gumbie Cat", and yet, she wears another costume afterward (which is a yellow and white mix costume). So she has 3 costumes, the most of all.

She seems to be very close to Bustopher Jones who gives a rose to her at the end of the song "Bustopher Jones". But she should be Skimbleshanks' wife because you can see them very close sometimes.

She is the one who sings a high key ( the lyrics: can you as cats do begin with a "C" )in the song "Jellicle songs for Jellicle cats" when they are all joining together.

She likes to teach mice and cockroaches at night, and her good friend is Jellylorum who is also a old female cat like her.
