Old Deuteronomy

Ken Page - in CATS video
¡@
He is the wise leader of Jellicle Tribe, he will choose which one of the Jellicle cats will journey to the Heavyside Layer to be "reborn" into a new life.
He has lived many lives in success, and Rum Tum Tugger says he may have 99 wives, well, Rum Tum Tugger does inherit his father's character.
Old Deuteronomy shows up in the middle of the act 1, he doesn't dance too much, he sings 2 songs: "The moments of happiness" and "The addressing of cats".
He is not very strict to Grizabella, he doesn't allow any Jellicles be rude to her, you can see him gesture Munkustrap to leave her alone. At the end of act 1, he seems to accept her, but not touches her yet until Victoria does.
He is respected by all Jellicles, and he is kidnapped by Macavity but returned by Mistoffelees' magic. Well, many people think Macavity is a banished cat from Jellicle Tribe, but the booklet of Cats I bought in London just describes that Macavity is a villainous cat, doesn't describe much why he kidnaps Old Deuteronomy, maybe because he is too evil, haha~~

Only Old Deuteronomy knows the method to journey to Heavyside Layer
