Demeter's Choice

Munkustrap was nervous as can be. He began pacing in his home
at the
Junkyard. He was thinking of what he would say to her. The Queen he
loved. He wanted her to be his mate. He didn't know how to ask her. He decided to
walk around the junkyard and try to find her. 'I wonder where she is.' He thought..He was walking near the Old Ford when he saw her talking to
Bombalurina. His breath caught in his throat as he looked at her. He approached the two.
"Hello Bombalurina, Demeter." He said looking at Demeter.
"Hello Munku." Demi said.
"Yeah, hi." Copied Bomba.
"Hey, Bomb, can I please speak with Demeter?"
"Sure." She said and left to talk with Tugger.
"Demeter," He thought a moment then decided to wait to ask her to be
his mate. "Will you go to the Jellicle Ball with me?"
Demeter smiled as
she looked at him."I would love too!" She replied.
"I'll get you at 8:30. Ok?"
"Great I'll see you then." As Munku left he went and saw Misto doing
some magic for Etcetera, Electra and Jemima. Munku said Hello and continued walking. He saw Plato, Cassy and Alonzo talking and laughing. As he was
about to leave the junkyard he heard a loud crash sound. Demeter screamed and Munku
ran to where she was. Macavity held Demeter close to him when he saw Munku coming.
"Back off, Munku, she's mine."
"Over my dead body!"
"With pleasure!"
"No! Please don't hurt him!" Demeter cried out. "I love him, you
can take
me, just don't hurt Munku!" Macavity and Munkustrap looked at her,
surprised.
Demeter started crying. "Don't hurt him." She repeated, "I beg
you,
don't hurt him." Macavity just smiled as he pulled her close then they
disappeared..
~~~ In Macavity's layer ~~~
Macavity had put Demeter in the room next to his and locked the door.
Macavity had always loved Demeter and he felt this was his chance to
get her, to make her love him, though he knew it was hard to make someone love another
by force. He walked over to the door and, with his magic, made a window so he could look in the room. Demeter lay curled up in the corner, scared.
Macavity's heart ached as he looked at the scared Queen. 'Why am I
feeling this way?' He asked himself. 'Why do I love a Jellicle?' Then he saw Demeter
look out the window. He opened the door and walked over to her. She didn't move. She looked up at him with frightened eyes.
Macavity smiled, not an evil smile but a warm smile, one that calmed her slightly.
"How are you, Demeter?" He asked. She was surprised but stayed
silent. He looked at her. He leaned forward and nuzzled her, trying to calm her.
This, however, did not calm her, but scared her even more. He was not being the evil Tom that everyone said he was, but a kind, gentle one. She looked
at his face.
"Please, don't hurt me??"
"I would never hurt you!" He said and that shocked Demeter. "I
want
you to trust me. Which means I won't hurt you, Dem."
"I want to go home. I want Munkustrap, I love him"
"That, my dear, is the problem. I'm trying to get back at that fool. You
will return, however, in a few weeks."
"I don't want to wait a few weeks." Demeter was getting angry. How dare he
take her away from her love and home and not let her return for a few
weeks?
"You will stay here." He said also getting angry. Demeter backed up.
"I will not let you do anything to Munku I love him and I will stop you."
Macavity just smiled.
"We'll see about that." And he left Demeter.
~~~ Jellicle Junkyard ~~~
Munkustrap was panicking. 'Where are you, Dem?' He thought. He decided to ask Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer because they used to work with him. As
Munku walked down to Victoria Grove he suddenly heard a voice. But it wasn't a voice from someone speaking it was a voice from his mind and his heart.
This voice told him where to find Macavity! He went back to the Junkyard and got
Alonzo, Misto, Tugger, Plato, Pounce, and Tumble to come with him. They walked down many roads and they got to a warehouse. When Munku said:
"He's here." Misto and Alonzo glanced at each other, nervously.
"Come
on."
Tugger hesitated. And Misto and Alonzo wouldn't move, Plato, Pounce and Tumble didn't question him though and they did as they were told. Munku
looked at the 3 who didn't come. "Are you coming?" Tugger shook hishead.
"No, we don't want to see Mac." Misto walked forward next to Tumble as
did Alonzo. "You are out for your mind." Tugger hissed but also followed
with a sigh.
~~~ Mac's Layer ~~~
Macavity laughed. They were coming! He stopped laughing when he heard crying. He followed the sound and found out it was coming from
Demeter's room. He quietly opened the door and Demeter looked up at him, fearfully.
"I am not going to hurt you, Demeter."
"Let me go then!"
"I will decide that in due time."
"Until then I never want to see you!" She hissed.
"Munkustrap is on his way with some other idiot toms and I will give
you a choice the choice of your life." He turned and left. Demeter cried.
~~~ Outside Of Mac's Layer ~~~
"Ok so how do we get in?" Plato asked.
"With magic, of course." Munku responded. Misto groaned.
"Is that the only reason you brought me? Was for magic?"
"Um.." Munku hesitated. "No, we needed more Toms."
"Oh." Misto thought a moment. "Then why didn't you take Admetus
or
someone?"
"You're a better fighter."
"Shut up already, both of you!" Tumble shouted then looked around and
blushed.
"Let's go already!" Pounce said.
"Do what you do, Misto." Tugger said. Misto sighed and obeyed. Then
Munku, Tugger and Alonzo disappeared and reappeared inside.
"How come we aren't in there?" Tumble and Plato demanded.
"I cant teleport many Cats all at the same time!" Misto responded.
"That's not fair!" Pounce said. Misto just shrugged and smiled.

Munkustrap, Tugger and Alonzo were walking when some gaurds had
spotted them and started fighting. Alonzo told Munku to go ahead without them, and
Munku agreed and ran.

Macavity had Demeter in his private room. She had not spoken to him
since he brought her there. Macavity was getting frusterated with this Queen.
Demeter sat in the corner of the room on the floor with her head down.
Mac's heart called out to her. Mac saw a tear roll off of her cheek and went over
to her and licked it away. Demeter looked up, startled and backed away.
"Do not fear me, Demeter. I would not hurt you if my life depended on
it."
"What reason do I have not to fear you?! You have been known to kidnap, and
even murder. I don't trust you and I never will." She hissed.
"Then that's your loss, deary." He hissed back. Then she spit on him.
He wiped away the spit and glared at her. "You'll regret that, Dem." She
just hissed and turned away from him, and he laughed. He turned and walked out of
the room. Just as he walked out of the room Demeter looked around and wished silently for Munku to come. As if to awnser her prayers Munku quietly
came in
the room unnoticed. He saw Demeter and smiled.
"Demeter!" He called happily. Demeter looked up at him but didn't
smile, for at that moment Mac came in and Demeter saw him.
"Munku, look out!" Munku turned around, saw Mac and went over to a
corner of the room. Mac smiled.
"So you have come." Mac said addressing Munku.
"I wouldn't leave Demeter in here." Munku hissed. Mac looked at Demeter.
"Now it's time for your choice," Mac smiled and looked at Munku.
"Stay
here or he dies." He said looking at Demeter. Demeter gasped. She looked to
the ground and began crying. And in a small voice said:
"You know what I would choose I love Munku more then life itself and
if you kill him I would kill myself. My life isn't worth living with out
Munku. But I will stay because I love him and I don't want him to die." And she
began crying harder and Munku went to her and held her in a tight embrace.
"My life isn't worth living without you." But before he could say anything
more Dem gently pushed him away.
"No. Don't say anymore. Just please, go." But Munku grabbed her paw
and ran.. Mac jumped up and ran after him, forgetting he had magic.

Munku and Dem ran as fast as they could. Misto saw them coming and as
soon as they were at Misto's side Misto made Dem and Munku disappear and reappear
at the Junkyard. Misto made Alonzo and Tugger appear next to him and told them to run as the gaurds came. Alonzo, Tugger, Pounce, and Tumble ran,
while Plato and Misto fought with the gaurds. Within minutes all of the guards were
down either by Misto's magic or Plato's strength. Misto and Plato smiled.
"Good show, Plato."
"Yeah, you too Misto." Then they disappeared just as Mac came.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO."

It was time for the Jellicle Ball! Munku ran and got Dem and they went
to the ball. Everything was going like it always did and Mac came a few
times trying to get Demeter but never winning for Munku always protected her.
Then, when a tom asked a Queen to be his mate (The mating dance) Munku rose and went to Demeter. Demeter looked at Munku shocked but he just smiled.
"Will you be my mate?" She nodded as they did the dance together.
